As a Diagnostic Technician, you are the specialist who understands complex technical faults. With your analytical insight you trace electrical, electronic and mechanical issues on rolling stock and construction machinery.
You work methodically, use modern diagnostic software and make sure machines are quickly and correctly back in service both in the workshop and at the customer’s site.
Machines don’t speak, but if you listen carefully they tell you everything.

Your role?
As a Diagnostic Technician you are the specialist who understands complex technical faults. With your analytical insight you trace electrical, electronic and mechanical issues on rolling stock and construction machinery. You work methodically, use modern diagnostic software and ensure machines are quickly and correctly back in service both in the workshop and at the customer’s site.
- You trace electrical and mechanical faults on rolling stock of our core brands, both in the workshop and at customer sites.
- You analyse and resolve complex technical issues using modern diagnostic software and following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- For complex faults you consult with the service coordinator and the manufacturer’s specialists to reach the right solution.
- You correctly record your work in the ERP system and gather information and photos for any warranty cases.
- You clearly explain to customers what the issue was and how it was resolved.
- You work in an orderly and safe manner following VCA guidelines and report to the Teamleader Operations.
Who you are?
We’re looking for an experienced diagnostic technician who isn’t afraid of complex technical challenges. Sound like you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics (or equivalent through experience).
- At least 5 years’ experience as a diagnostic technician, preferably in rolling stock.
- Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and diagnostic equipment.
- You can read electrical schematics and work in a structured, solution-oriented way.
- Customer-focused, communicative and strong both independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of NL and EN (French is a plus).
